Reviews.io
How it works
Reviews.io writes a product's average rating and review count to two standard Shopify metafields: reviews.rating and reviews.rating_count. Stashlist reads these metafields and renders a visual star rating alongside each product on the wishlist page. Reviews.io keeps these metafields current whenever a review is created or updated.
Setup
- Make sure Reviews.io is installed and has collected at least one review so the metafields are populated.
-
In Stashlist, go to Settings → Product Metafields. Add the following two metafields:
reviews.rating: renders as visual stars on the wishlist cardreviews.rating_count: displays the number of reviews next to the stars (optional)
- Click Save. Stars will now appear on wishlist cards for any product that has reviews.
Reviews.io uses Shopify's standard metafield namespace, so if you ever switch to another reviews app (such as Judge.me, Yotpo, Okendo, or Stamped), the stars on your wishlist page will continue to work automatically as long as the new app writes to the same metafields, which all major reviews apps do.
What customers see
Each wishlisted product with a rating shows a row of filled stars (with half-star support), followed by the review count in parentheses. Products with no reviews show no stars.
